Purpose built models that are part of an ecosystem of models that have certain knowledge.
You don’t buy a dairy farm just to make mac and cheese. Why use a 1 trillion parameter model to ask it how long to boil an egg for.
Nothing new here but…
I think we need to break apart all these giant models and make them smaller, faster, and interactive with other small purpose built models.
Take an automatic car wash. They’re all-in. You can’t just get wax, or just dry your car, or just get your wheels shined. You need to get it all. It’s a designed process. buffet, salad bar, etc. when all you wanted was a hard boiled egg.
